Just went through this offset thing on my 5KCSTQ and found that the
stock wheels 15x6 inch (your 4k would have 14x6 wheels I think, not 7"
wide as you stated) have an offset of 45mm. To compensate for the
added inch of width on your 15x7 Borbets, the proper offset is 35mm.
Think of it this way: take the extra inch and put half on each side of
the wheel centerline. The stock offset of 45mm now is pushed out
another .5 in or about 12.7mm giving a new theoretical offset of 57.7
mm. So to compensate for the extra width the offset must be REDUCED
by 12.7mm leaving an ideal offset of 32.3mm. Aftermarket wheels
commonly come in 35mm offsets so that's what you got!
The small change in scrub radius of 2mm will not cause the car to dart
or wander but the wider tires you have on there will have a tendency
to follow the road much more than the stock size. however, it would
probably be a good idea to alighn it anyway at a competent shop ,
which if this list means anything, is difficult to find!!
Best of luck..
