V8Q misc. ramblings.

 I've had no success in finding a salvageable V8Q for parts.
 (What I did receive were 7 or 8 emails requesting parts..hmmm.)
 Came really close at a wholesale auction...but some dealer
 went and paid $9500 for a '90V8Q with 166K on the clock...
 I wish him luck turning a buck on that one.

 As some may remember, I was helping a friend out with his
 V8Q. I've narrowed the tranny problem down to a bad solenoid
 valve in the transmission....but GOTCHA, I can only find the
 entire valve body..(with harness) $1350.00. Does anyone
 know where I might be able to buy JUST the solenoid valve??

 I'm also getting some strange readings from the brake/tranny
 indicator wires..but I'm going to go one step at a time.

 It's got a tranny line leak, I vaguely remember a TSB on
 this, anyone have it handy?

 Now the thing has also decided to occasionally not start, but
 I suspect when we get around to tracing the surge problem we'll
 get this one too.

 As for my own V8Q..luckily haven't had a single problem with her
 yet, (well, I did change the doorlock levers).  I took the
 car back to Clair to repair the problems with the car after I
 had them paint it. Took them 3 weeks, but they did finally
 fix the sunroof they broke and striped the clearcoat and
 reshot it. NOW it looks like a pearl white instead of a
 silver pearl. They however DID NOT fix the dents they left
 behind, the broken side marker (they broke it) and they
 also didn't straighten the hood. I've decided to do these things
 myself..not worth the hassle of taking the car back all the time.
 I've also spoken with a friend or two I have at Clair (Service and
 Parts) and they tell me the body shop acts like it's independent
 of the dealership for anything.

 You've been informed, when you need bodywork keep my experience
 in mind.
