ABS LIGHT ON COUPE QUATTRO

Hello.  I have a 1990 pearl Coupe Q as well and had similar things happen.
 In 1993 the previous owner had ABS problems which were pretty expensive (but
under warranty!) It involved the ABS sensor on 2 wheels which had gone bad or
were causing problems.  The dealer chose to replace the sensors entirely, of
course.

My most recent ABS problem was very cheap.  Upon installing new struts, my
trusty mechanic "accidentally" screwed with the lead wires that go to the
sensors.  These wires, now loose, pressed up against the exhaust
system/manifolds and melted, causing a short.  Symptom was the same- ABS
warning light came on and ABS was disengaged.  It took about 15 minutes and
85 cents to fix.
