Clutch help

Fellow listers:

I will soon be in need of a new clutch plate, pressure plate and throw 
out bearing for my 1987 Coupe Gt.  I have noticed several differences in 
this year model vs. the 1985 that I had previously.  I have an astounding 
156,000 miles on this original clutch and I am afraid that if I replace 
it, I will end up with some lousy 30k mile clutch plate.  Unfortunately, 
the original was made with asbestos which is no longer sold in this 
country.  Probably why it lasted so long.  Does anyone have any 
experience with after market clutch parts for this car?

I also wonder if the parts differ from the previous year/model since so 
many things were upgraded on the 1987 model.  

Any help in this area would be appreciated.  Also if anyone in Europe 
could price a Clutch plate there for me I would be very appreciative.  My 
understanding is that the ones sold in Germany still use the original compound.

The specifics: 1987 Coupe Gt.  2.3l Engine. FWD. 5 Speed.  (anyone know 
if the 6 spd. tranny will fit?)
