Re: 1990 Coupe Q brake failure light & idle.

Saam stumbles into the inevitable (OUCH!)

Mere proof, as if any was needed, that Murphy was an optomist.

Once. But it got bored and eventually died of loneliness...

Saam, old kumquat, Yer Kindly ol' Unka Bart would love to help you out. (Can
you recall how you got in to begin with...? But seriously, you are trying to
resolve a problem without doing the preliminary but all-important problem
analysis.

You are considering two *entirely* different horses here, hoss! True, both are
serious fun-machines, but the Boxster is a *serious* giggle machine, while your
'90 Coupe-Q is *also* an All-weather, People-Haulin' gizmo.

The question of which one will float yer boat better defines on the sea you
decide to float 'er in. Given nice weather and only one passenger, *nothing*
beats an open Porsche, or even comes close! [Note, this is an objective fact,
not a subjective opinion, but of course, you *knew* that.]

[We pause for a moment, to allow those afflicted to remove their shorts and
shake the knots out before proceeding... <Much> time passes...]

On the other hand, life occasionally rains upon our best-planned parades; and
sometimes, even snows. And sometimes, even in the balmiest weather, one
appreciates the ability to include another couple...

The best advice for you [comes with a lifetime guarantee, and definitely worth
every cent it costs you] is to have one of each! And '86 Carrera cabriolets can
be had for the low $20k range, about what you'd pay to add *serious* power to
your Q.

Perhaps this is why that gallon jug of vinegar that the Faire Dora makes me haul
around and take regular hits off, has had no affect upon that stoopid grin Yer
Kindly ol' Unka Bart is so justly known for perpetually wearing...

Cheers
