VW wheels on an Audi?

     Anyway my contribution today. The fluffy white stuff came last 
     night to the high country. (kewl!) So now I need to think snow 
     tires. I have a source for some 14x6, 4x100BCD, in either ET38
or 
     ET32 offset alloys from an A2 Golf.
     
     Has anyone ever tried fitting them on an 80Q? 
     
     Seems to me they should, but before I drive way out there to try

     'em thought I'd ask. I tried fitting 4000S alloys (ET45) onto my

     Jetta before and they were "ok" 'cept they were a bit too inset;

     causing rubbing on the strut at full lock.
     
     Maybe ET38 would make the tires stick out?
