Should I replace the 4kq? (was: How to make faster)
Okay, I have read everyones replyes to my questions about improving the speed
on my 4kq that has been retired from racing. I really appreciate everyones
response. I have come to the conclusion that it will be too expensive and
complicated for me to modify the 4kq the way it should be done.
Now I am faced with a decision; do I keep the 4kq and enjoy what it offers
and improve the stereo OR do I sell the car and buy a 5kqt and modify it for
great performance? I thought about an UR-q, but I think it will cost too
much to maintain compared to the 5kqt.
The pros and cons:
The 4kq is now mechanically perfect; who knows with the new 5kqt
I know my 4kq and how to work on it the rare times it needs help; 5kqt not.
The 4kqt looks sportier; the 5kqt is more luxurious.
The 4kqt is a simple car; the 5kqt is somewhat complicated (I have read the
posts about the electrical problems)
Well, what should I do? Lemme know.
Thanks for the help. Oh yeah, one last thing. Selling the 4kq and living
without a quattro is NOT AN OPTION!!
