--I don't think it's a warped rotor DON'T THINK??!!! This is the problem
I overlooked for 8 months on my mom's 5000 and guess what, the rotor was
warped!! best way to check the rotor that I used (not real safe) pull
the rotor off, jack up the car and put on jack stands or blocks. Be
REALLY Careful!! bolt the brake caliper up but do NOT press the brakes
at all!! and put the wheel on, bolt it up and get the car to 60mph by
putting it in 5th and letting off the clutch slowly, if the vibration IS gone,
you need your rotor cut or replaced They can be turned by a Auto Parts store
with a machine shop. Be very carefull with the car on jack stands!
A warning: the dealer will not turn rotors..
They say "It is unsafe to turn them" The people at machine shops have a
certain limit on how much material they can take off for safety reason so,
If you can get them turned I would. Once you get the rotors turned, take it
real easy on them for the first couple of weeks.
It will help prevent warping and glazing.
