The answer to your question is that probably not every one wants a 300H.P. at
7,000 RPM in a family sedan.  Granted it would be real neat until junior took
the car for a spin...Plus the cost of developing a new cyclinder head and
getting it EPA tested.  Manufacturers would have to weigh these cost against
the gains.  That's why the S2,  Audi S8, and RS2 aren't being imported,
manufacturers wouldn't make enough money on those models to overcome the cost
of bringing those cars here. The technology is out there to get a thousands
of double, and sometimes triple the horsepower out of these engines, but
technology demands a price....
