It _does_ annoy them, doesn't it?

I'd like to know where these associations (BMW = quick, Volvo = safe) started 
out.  Something, somewhere needs attention.

And, for the record, an M3 (300bhp) lost out in a _serious_ way to an ur-
quattro (MB - 200bhp) only an hour ago.

(You wouldn't have believed it - he tried to make a move on a traffic island!  
It cost him 200yds - he managed to catch up over the next couple of miles and 
then had another traffic island to deal with.  Floated, just floated.)
