The infamious "click" we all speak about, ignore, etc..., is the cam 
shaft lobe smacking the top of the lifter bucket, and sometimes the 
lifter being smacked into the stem of the valve.  Metal to metal, being
smacked together= "click".  Its like smacking your teeth together!
Try to maintain 3000 rpm doing this!
