For those interested in the Pikes Peak quattro history, I checked the poster
in my sons room of the winged S1 sport quattro from 1987. At the bottom
it lists the Audis wins:

1982  John Buffum         Open Rally Winnner, ur-quattro
1983  John Buffum         Open Rally Winnner, ur-quattro
1984  Michelle Mouton     Open Rally Winnner, ur-quattro
1985  Michelle Mouton     Open Rally Winnner/Overall Winner, sport quattro
1986  Bobby Unser         Open Rally Winnner/Overall Winner, sport quattro
1987  Walter Rohrl        Open Rally Winnner/Overall Winner, sport quattro

And each year a new record time was set.
