coupe brake upgrade - update

Dear all

Well, the spongy brake pedal following the fitment of Scirocco 16V
calipers and vented discs to my 81 coupe has been totally solved by
fitting a master cylinder from a 1980 5000 turbo (23.81mm bore compared to
20.64mm bore originally). The brakes are now awsome, very progressive but
not too sharp as to "grab". It was not neccesary to adjust the rear bias
valve at all and the rears do not lock before the fronts.

Next thing is to get some rear discs from a 16V scirocco - apparently the
rear disc 87 coupe had a 23.8mm mastercylinder so this should go well.

Thanks to everyone who gave master cylinder information

All the best

Rob
