Re: "Kanc" hwy rally

<< I put this before you for your thoughtful introspection. There exists,
in another place and time (from NYC at least), a road. It is known to the
locals an the "Kanc", so named after a local indian chief whose wandering
warrior spirit still inhabits this lovely twisty ~30 miles strech of
begging to be driven (in an Audi) asphalt. Anyone whose "driven" it knows
irts worth the trip, if you haven't, ask someone who has. It is here in
the story that we enter the "Audi Zone".
It is my intention to join in a procession of certain like minded Audi
automobiles, and their owners (read any Audi) in a 60 mile procession from
about Manchester N.H. to this fabled stretch of road till its terminus is
reached in North Conway N.H.. The date for this trespass into the "Audi
Zone" is open, I put it to you that sooner rather then later is better. Mid
Oct - early Nov? Departure time needs to be planned to avoid to many leaf
peepers, though I suspect peak is now --SNIP--

Great road to Q fly on, but 'tis easy to get caught behind logging trucks, so
we may have to sorta close it off for 15 minutes!! I'm in for Oct 25-6. Leaf
peeper peak is this weekend central, next weekend southern VT/NH and the
Champlain valley.

The locals around the Mad Reefer Valley here in VT try their skill on the Ap
Gap, Rt 17 in Vermont. For those interested, an easy double Gap jump from the
Hwy Rt 89
Roxbury Gap to Ap Gap, or better yet up Rt 100 form Rutland. Drop me a line,
and the Valley Q club might actually do it!

Bring the all seasons or snows. There were a few blinding snow squalls here
today, and they're already making snow on the top of Sugarbush.
