Re: A3-Don't send it to USA
Christian,
I completely agree. And, honk honk! 'Muricans are missing the point
with these. My Audi has "city lights", which are very dim. The ones on Saturn
s and crap like that too bright and you don't have a smitch for them.....they j
ust come on automatically. How annoying! Too me and thier owners.
I also agree about the A3. First off, I think it's ugly, and it's also
, like you said, an economy car, and will just further confuse Audi's image in
the US market (which is not what it needs after just starting to redeem itself)
. Also, it is based off of the VW Golf platform and has rumored to have a less
than acceptable safety record. This will not do well and will just bring down
Audi's unmatched safety record. They are doing very well on that. Well, this
is just my opinion, and many others are welcome. It just doesn't appear that
this new A3 is a true drivers car like the rest of Audi's lineup. Now, the A4
Avant is more than welcome here in the US, and I think it would be in a market
all by itself (or at least push that Subaru Outback out of the way).
The A8 is very nice. I looked at one at the local dealership and it ap
pears to be in a class with the top-of-the line MB, but at a more competetive p
rice. It has a lot of interesting luxury options as well. And, in regards to
that R&T thing...when did cup holders become such a big deal??? I mean, come
on! Do people really care about things like this?
Later,
Dan
