RE: Prospective '91 200Q Wagon buyer...



In addition to Paul's list, you may want to check the distributor (known
to leak oil) and *all* the electrical parts (seats, sunroof, mirrors).

You can check on the timing belt yourself: there's a flap on the top of
the timing belt cover (roughly in the middle of the front of the engine)
that you can pull back using either strong fingers or a screw driver or
some such leverage to see the belt.

Also: does it have sports seats? Are the headlights the original
(suckful) US spec lights? What shape are the wheels in (they're not
available through BBS anymore and *very* expensive)? Is the cargo cover
there (it's about $500 for a new one)?

As mentioned, the wagons didn't come with Bose systems as far as I've
been able to determine. They have 2 speakers in each rear door and 1 or
2 under the covers on top of the dash. They also didn't come with the
hands-off built-in cell phone.

That's all I can think of to add right now.
