Well, I change the oil in my '89 100Q (basically identical body/chassis)
by just sliding underneath it. Plenty of room for me and my oil pan.
Use the OEM filters: Mahle or Mann. If your car has two oil filters
(one for engine, one for turbo), use the OC47; this is the same as
almost all I5 engines. If you have one bigger filter, it's a different
number (OC85?) They can be had for about $5 each, maybe more for #85.
Why are you changing the gearbox oil? I just changed mine at 130K,
and it was still in fine shape. Sort of wasted the money. My shop
(which does only German cars) uses the Valvoline 75w90 synthetic.
Redline makes a reputable one, too.
