1985 was the last year of the dual oil filter in the audis....  I did see one
early 86 with duals, but a rarity indeed....   The 85 setup is the good
retrofit ticket, it has the water cooled turbo so the oil feed lines are the
same as the later cars (read different flange config than the oil bearing
only), and it has the dual filters as well....  The second filter was changed
to the single with the addition of the after run water pump on the water
cooled turbo setup.....  Use synthetic oil, let the car cool after the bonzai
runs, and do regular oil changes, the second filter becomes just more of a
mess + monies....
