Re: Silicone
Well, I AM (well I usta be one until I retired a coupla months ago :-) ) a
chemist and silicones are compound in which silicon atoms alternate with
oxygen atoms. In addition two other side groups usually organic groups such
as methyl or ethyl (etc.) groups are attached to each silicon atom. Various
properties are produced by varying the types and relative numbers of these
side groups.
