The second is a SI unit.  Therefore a US hour and a European hour are the
same duration.

Yes, it is.  Where 1 inch = 2,54 mm.  Where also 760 mmHg = 1 bar and 0.760
= 1 millibar.

It is often commonly required to indicate whether pressure is in absolute
units or in "gauge" units.  Thus 18 psig [pounds/square inch gauge] (to pick
a number) = 18 PSIG + 14.7 psi/atm = 32.7 psia [pounds/square inch actual].
This is a common problem encountered on this list when people tend to
interchange these and similar bar-type units.
