Unit conversion (low Audi cont)
Hi all,
Being a metric-indoctrinated european I was wondering if anyone on the list
could help me with this. It would be nice if, for my future postings, I
could convert metic units into imperial units. Now I know that there's 1.6
km to a mile, and 2.54 cm to an inch and I'm well versed in $ versus any
other currency, but I'd like your help on these...
Litres <-> US Gallons
Litres <-> Imp Gallons
Nm <-> Lb ft
kg <-> Lbs
plus anything else you might come up with. This would be an enormous help
when translating the specs of the latest and greatest from VAG Germany...
TIA,
Tom

PS the search for a more upmarket Audi continues: I passed on a 1989 90
2.3E last weekend, with peeling bodycolour front grille/rings and ditto
Speedlines. German import, no license plates yet, the guy wanted equiv.
$11500 for it. Looked like it had been in the wars a bit, and the price was
extortionate, although the guy didn't seem to think so. This car had 4 bald
tyres as well, like the 20v I looked at before... people seem to neglect
these cars seriously before selling!

I think animal testing is a terrible idea;
they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.
