I was observing this polemic waiting for somebody to mention a bloodless and 
quick way to remove that monster bolt, that I always use:

1. Remove the Hall Sensor (two 5mm allen bolts, LH bell housing)
2. Insert a wide flat screwdriver in the opening and stick it in between the 
flywheel teeth (or a smallest pry bar from a std. 4-piece set)
