windshield

hi peter, my experience though limited and a failure, has taught me that you
must only handle the glass at the corners and never ever at any time put
even a minimal pressure on the top and/or bottom straight expanses of glass.
if you wrap a piece of strong twine or coated wire around the inside of the
lubricated (your choice) bead and leave the two ends hanging out the bottom.
you can then position the window partially into its bottom position and by
carefully pulling the ends of the string, pull back the rubber lip and so
allow the window to seat itself. yea sure. actually it did work on my lada
rear window after my grandson showed me his pitching prowess. <and i kept my
cool>
