4000 rpm cut out
Folks,
Spent yesterday afternoon chasing the gremlins out of the newly painted TQC.
Still haven't found source for the cut out at 4k rpm. The resistance on the air
temperature module at the ECu was 22 ohms (split the tolerances quoted in the
book) and the throttle positioning switch does the oohms to infinity just as it
supposed to.
My manual says that these are the only output devices that inhibit the higher
rpms. can anyone cofirm or deny this. Where else do I go?
FYI I replaced the intercooler with a front mounted from an '86 5000CS quattro.
Would that cause any problems I haven't considered?
If I sort this out the first time out since 1992 for this beauty will be on the
road to Sante Fe first week of November. Hre's hoping.
