Re: 1983 URQ Springs/Bump Stops
In the words of Yoserian (Catch-22) "Don't Cut"
Bump stops are design to have progressive force required to depress them. When
we Pro rallied we would always use springs that took up most of the forces. If
we weren't hitting the bump stops occasionally we figured we were too stiff.
The ideal is to have your platform (The car chassis) as quiet as possible. Too
stiff a spring transfers the motion to other points (wheels) and this will cause
imbalance. To little (too many bump stop excursion) and you have the same
problem.
