Hi, Abhijit. Before you start drilling holes in a fender to install an expensive,
obtrusive, Cr-plated (for a short time, while not rusted yet), telescopic fishing
rod, which is prone to break downs because of the natural causes and break ups
because of the neighbourhood blockhead kids, otherwise known as a "Power Antenna",
let me ask you this silly question: Is your OEM antenna working correctly?
I have a limited knoledge of a 90, but judging by the fact that you have a dual
antenna, I am guessinng that it is the same as on my 200.
I would check if your active antenna is powered up by the radio, when it is turned
on (your Bentley should give you the wiring diagramm, it's only three wires:
PWR{RED - perhaps}, GND{always BRN} and the Hi Freq. coax itself).
1. Check if RED is getting +12v when radio is ON, and
2. Check if coax is carrying a signal.
I am runnind my monster Alpine sys off the stock OEM active antenna (the rear one)
and it works excellent.
Good luck
