I use 225/45-16 P700Zs on 16x8 3pc BBS (cheap at Tire Rack) with ET35.
They don't rub at all on the fender lip. Once, I used them in the rain
at NHIS, and they rubbed a teeny tiny bit on the INSIDE of the tire.
What happened was that on the hard right hander at the bottom of the hill
(turn 10) they just touched the control arm bushing. No problem really.

For the track in the dry I use 225/50-15 R1s on 15x8 Ronal with ET24.
I've rolled the rear fenders as much as I could without screwing up
the paint, but I still polish about an inch of the sidewall every event.

I guess I'll have to roll the lip some more.
