I can see

I played around this weekend, trying to get a little more light output
from the lousy lighting system on the 91 200q. For about $30 and an
hours work, this is what I did.

Lights old watts/ea	new watts/ea	cost/ea
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Parking 21 50 $1.99
HeadLights	65/45 65/55 $4.50 - Thanks to Jim Marriot for the Kmart
tip!!
FogLights	H3-55 H3-100 $4.99
plus 2x $3.69 for 9004/7 connectors.
Also thanks (Al Powell?) for the instructions on how to wire in the
9007s - BTW, I saw prices on the 9007s ranging from 2 for $15 (with $6
rebate) up to $15.99/ea. Pays to shop around.

The new parking lights look just about like headlights now. I picked up
two new connectors for the headlights and just spliced them in - now I
can use either 9007s or 9004s. The 9007s do make a very noticeable
difference. The difference in the 100w fogs was really not that
noticeable - but I can drive the back roads at 60mph or so with just
the parking and fogs on and see ok. I am wondering if I can just change
the fog lenses and turn 'em into driving lights? Assuming the Bosch
lenses are removable and available.
