Yes I did it within the first week of ownership of my 200TQ - I was just plain 
annoying.

There is a timing relay under dash. Actually, if you open it up, you'll find a 
solid state surface mounted circuit in it. It's based around your typical 555 
timer chip (-I think, it's been around 3 years ago). I have located a time 
constant setting RC circuit and replaced the resistor with a lower value. I have 
the timer set up @ about 0.5 sec before the light goes out.
