Thoughts on UK list proposal (non-automotive content)

Since I've taken some heat for offering to create a UK list, I'm going
to assume that folks misunderstood my intentions, and I'd like to
clarify what I was suggesting.

I was in no way saying that the UK folks needed to break off of Dan's
Quattro List and form their own mailing list.  My intention in offering
to create a mail list for members of the UK Quattro Owners Club was so
that members (specifically the US charter members who find it a bit
difficult to attend meetings) could send out notices and resolve
cross-pond shipping/payment issues.

Since I have had no positive responses to my offer, I am going to drop
it at this point.  I didn't realize I was going to open such a can of
worms in my attempt to make life easier for the folks who didn't want to
hear about jackets, club meetings/policies, and the like.
