back to repairs

My latest mechanic works for the phone company during the day and
has been repairing flood damage on double shifts, so won't
be able to give me a hand with the timing belt until the weekend.
I was wondering about (yet another) a booboo I did last week.
When I was removing the starter, I forgot to pull the negative
terminal off the battery (it had been off but I put it back on,
didn't realize it was still on) and one of the wires, insulation
cracked, touched the block and sparked. Before I had all lights
on when I turned the key to on, but now I only have the oil
pressure light blinking. I checked all the fuses, so my guess is
that the load reduction relay kicked in and will reset once the car
starts. Is that a valid possibility, or did I fry the relay itself?
