this won't be much of a problem on the 84, but anyone trying this on an         
85-87 should be sure to buy the optional deflector piece.  a week or so         
after i installed my supertrapp replacement there was a slit cut into the       
bumper cover where the exhaust gas exiting the radial diffuser was melting      
the plastic.  btw, mine was SS.  another thing to note is that the supertrapp   
will hang low enough to hit parking curbs if you back into a parking spot.      
for the first few weeks, i had one of those springy curb feeler things          
installed on one of the diffuser bolts so i could "learn" how far to back up    
without grunching the muffler.
