My '93 100QCS reception from the Audi/Bose system is poor on FM. I've
checked the diversity (front windshield and rear defroster antennae/preamps)
antennas and they are ok. North American auto manufacturers abandoned the
in glass antenna in the '80's. My radio will loose stereo lock and go mono,
or start muting on FM stations only 30 miles away. Compared with an
aftermarket radio and a normal external antenna, I don't hear stations half
as far!
Is there any alternative solution to drilling thru the body? I've already
got a cellular and two-way mobile antenna (L-bracket NMO mount) on my
car.... more whips?
