... and I copied the serial number per month production numbers from the fiche 
and sent a copy to Thompson for inclusion in the URQ Registry web page (... is 
there one yet?).  The reason that I am mentioning this is that I find the pro-
duction date on the fiche does not match the "build date" on the door post.  
I'm thinking the date on the tag is for federal equipment purposes, and may 
be the date that the car started production.  Let me know if you want a copy 
of the stuff that I sent to Thompson ... I can see if I can dig it out of my 
e-mail archives ...
