another datapoint...
I clocked two cars on the identical track under _different_ conditions.
The track was PIR - Portland International Raceway. The first day,
Friday,
was pouring rain. I clocked car #1 at 1:30 and change per lap in the
wet.
The second day, Saturday, was dry but threatening rain. This day, I
clocked
car #2 at 1:30 plus a wee bit more change, e.g. car #1 was marginally
faster.
the cars, you ask?!?
#1 was a Sport Quattro
#2 was an RX7TT
different cars, different days, different codnitions, nearly the same
times...
_both_ were well driven, IMNSFHO
