while i agree that the bentley is invaluable, it is woefully short on           
procedures.  i believe robert bentley publishes only what vw/a sends them.      
OTOH the haynes was written by someone who actually removed and replaced        
parts and it fills in some rather large gaps.  if you have the $100+            
to spend on the bentley, add 10-20% to your budget and get the haynes           
as well - it's easily half as worthwhile as the bentley, and as i said          
before the bentley is sometimes useless.
