Re: Strut brace users respond please....

Hi Robert!
I installed a self meade aluminium strut brace on my 82 Coupe and
identical one on my 84 4kq. They have simular strut towers to the
once on your car. The problem I found is that every time you want to
take the battery out you have to remove the brace. I do not presume
you want to take your battery out often. Just becouse of it I moved
my battery to the trunk. It makes a lot of difference in underhood
space.
As for the bar I only noticed a difference with sticky tires. It
improves the responce when you crank the steering and improves
the steering feel while around tight, bumpy corners.
Overall a worthy improvement for me (didn't pay anything for them).
Good luck finding one if you can't have one made (I don't know who
makes bars for Audi).
Have fun.
