Re: Rear Fog lamp

As far as I know, '90 and '91 Audi cars still had the rear fog lamp feature.
It is effective in inclement conditions (fog, snow, etc). I know I've
wished that other cars have had this feature a few times in bad conditions
(the morons going slower in the left lane). It really could come in useful
in preventing a rear end collision, not to mention scaring a tailgater or two
occasionally. Interestingly enough on my old 320i, the left rear had a blank
spot for a rear fog which I wired to work in conjunction with Hella fogs on
the front. It got a little annoying having neighbors tell me I had a tail
light out though. I think Alfa Romeo had a rear fog lamp installed on their
US cars as well. Was probably cheaper for them to leave it the way it was
instead of changing it. Then again, maybe they'd still be here with the
money saved from taking it out! Yeah right.
