Audi Quattro
Yes, I am still looking for that elusive '90-'91 90/Coupe Quattro 20V. I
will refrain from commenting on the black (if you could call it that...) '90
90Q I looked at the other day. It's at an Audi dealer in Mass, which one?
F&S (the damn thing ran/sounded worse than an F1 car on the rev limiter
heading into the pits (I love Montreal in June!!). I have never seen an Audi
of that vintage in worse condition. I won't comment on the sleazy nature of
the place.
One question. Is this some new sales tactic that people like to use:
Place an ad for a car for sale and then when you call to inquire, they say
they aren't sure if they want to sell the car. Now I know selling a Q can be
a tough call, but it seems to me you should have your mind made up one way or
the other, especially after you place an ad. I've run into three people now
doing this and now I just answer with a "get back to me when YOU'RE serious
about selling as there are other cars available." I don't waste my time with
those people anymore. I know it's their car and they can do what they want,
but if it is meant as a way for the person selling to get more money for the
car, all they are doing is turning away a potential buyer from the beginning
(at least with me anyway). Fortunately, it hasn't happened with anyone on
this list as I would expect it not to.
So in a nutshell, yes, I'm still looking for a 90/Coupe Quattro. Winter pkg.
a must, etc. Also, thank you to everyone so far who has helped in the search
by forwarding possibilities to me and posting on this list. People on this
list are much more pleasant than the BM* list. Thanks again everyone.
