???? Wha hoppen? Not sure what's going on here, but this is the second time
I've had to post a message to get it it show up. First sent this 8:30 AM &
four digests later, not there - ???? Any suggestions?

Figured out what happened all by myself - severe case of brain-fade! OF
COURSE the reply wouldn't show up on the Quattro net - I sent it to John
Seitz (see the little line marked "To:" on your E-mail form?) Duhhh. As I
have said many, many times, most computer problems are operator problems -
and now I get to prove this myself - (BLUSH!) (And apologies to John for
double-mailing him!)

 So I went a Midas
which told me it would cost $179.99 for the rear and $179.99+strut
bearings+front alignment.  My normal audi guy want about $200 a strut
installed???  I love the car, but at $800+ dollors vs. 432.

	Would the Audi Gods disaporve?????

	
Always worthwhile to shop around for parts. Have a 1972 MB 300SEL (German
Luxo-Whale), and needed shock absorbers. Local MB dealer laughed - at least
$350 each!, Local furrin parts stores quoting Boge etc. at about $80 each,
US made shocks about the same, wound up at (GASP!) JC Whitney for a whopping
$17.95 each, turned out to be Gabriel shocks (good, US brand) in a plain
white box. Remember, If I wasn't happy, I could send 'em back! 

Need a temp gauge sender (the multi-disfunction switch - 3 wires/4 wires)
for my 5000S (1986), prices from $135 down to $48 for the SAME part. Let
your keyboard do the walking and you'll save big time!

 As for the Audi Gods? Religion is the opiate of the checkbook. (Nomex on!!)
