Re: Weird running 86 4KCSQ

I can say the car may have started from first hand experience...this fuse is
undocumented both on the fuse box label and in the Bentley manual (which is
always right, right?!). A few years back, I stupidly thought this fuse was a
spare and used it when my lighter shorted and blew the radio fuse. I was 90
miles from home. The car did start and drive home in limp home mode just
fine-albeit running really bad...so they can run with no power to the
ecu-just really sxxxty.
I also doubt this would be the fuse though since I recall the original post
stated the problem is intermittent (not to say fuses can't do that way-they
can). It is certainly an easy thing to change and rule out. I have never had
fuse box problems on any of my 4ksq's (3 of 'em plus a coupe) in the
past...but I raise the question of: do the 4ksq fuse boxes suffer from the
same water damage related problems as rabbits, etc.? Could corroded
connections under the fuse be a possiblity? I have not seen it, but here in
sunny CA things could be different than elsewhere. Good luck!!! Intermittents
are the hardest to find...
