Re: CIS-E fuel/power boost mod
Hi Bruce - my prior post has Max's phone # and he can give you the
details. Basically Max builds a "little black box" that is fairly
quick to install apparently (he didn't end up coming to the track day,
so he's mailing it to me.) It is just fuel enrichment at wide open
throttle and has no other effects. doesn't affect normal throttle gas
mileage or ignition timing or... The CIS-E on the 4KQ has a flaw in
that it doesn't deliver enuf gas at wide-open. his black box simply
redresses that flaw. (my understanding from phone con with Max).
BTW - PIR was a kick! my first track day, and I would have never
believed the speeds I got comfortable at in_the_rain, before that day.
thanks to an instructor named Mike in particular. I was also amazed at
what my 4KQ could do. The only car that got in trouble due to the
wet and crumpled a fender on a jersey barrier was "another german
marque" that still thinks that only two wheels should be powered.

Could you enlighten me on this? What is it? How does it work and where
does it come from? Fuel enrichment only or ignition timing too. any
affect on rev limiter?
Thanks
