I had a similar experience with another car.  I had replaced the rear tail light & reused the gummy, black putty, adhesive.  I used an electric paint heater.  It ended up leaking.

This would be where I would check next!  One of the tailights maybe leaking.  Did you replace one or the previous owner?


I haven't replaced the washer nozzle for my headlight yet.  No Bentley available for '93 100CSQ.  Evidently there is a good chance of breaking the pump behind the nozzle!

I did switch my oil to Mobil 1 at the last change.  I can sense that it is very good, doing its job.  In the previous 3,800 miles I went through ~1 1/4 quarts of regular oil.  The Audi filters are very good, in the same distance & driving conditions the oil would have looked much worse with a really cheap filter on my old car.  Probably the same appearance at 1/2 the milage.
