Re: Is the dealer misleading me?

I have had the same problem with my dealer, however not exactly the same
circumstances.

I ordered a '97 A4Q in early August. Since I could not find all of the
options
I wanted at a dealer, they had to order it from the factory. Audi said
they
expected delivery mid-late October.

When I spoke to my dealer in late-September, he said that my car was at
the docks in Germany and I could expect the car as promised. Mid-October
comes around and no car. They now say my car is in "D" status too, which
they say means it is completed off the line but not transported to the
docks.

If my dealer is telling the truth, it would seem as though your dealer
ordered
car about the same time I did and he was expecting his in mid-October.
That would mean it is Audi's mistake. Does anyone know anything about
what could be going on in Germany?

I'm still waiting for a call back from the dealership this week but last I
heard it would be
early-December for my car.

If you are happy with the price the dealership is giving you, and
considering how hard
it is in my area to find the perfect one, maybe you should consider waiting
on the car. It will come in eventually! My dealer is even going to give
me the CD changer
for less then wholesale and install it for me because of the wait.
