turbo cooldown time

Turbo care: Mooney turbo aircraft manual INSISTS you run the engine at a
little above idle for MIN 2 minutes before shut down. Helps equalize the
temperatures in and around the turbocharger, prevents shutting off
turbocharger and heat-soaking all those expensive seals and the center
bearing - the idle time gives the oil a little time to draw off some of the
heat from those delicate, expensive parts.

Oh yeah - goes 200+ MPH - four seats - big bucks - great fun!

Not much Audi content, but how aviation treats turbochargers.
