Choking on itself !!!!!!!
Yes it did, or should I say, it does.
The problem is that during my morning commute something happened.
The car started to choke on itself as soon as any (very little)
throttle was applied. The car still idled properly and could get
going but it would take about 1/4" of throttle and take about 5min to
reach any reasonable speed. The shaking seamed as if it's going to
rip the motor mounts off. Somhow I got to my destination (school)
and left it for about 6 hours. The car started fine when cold, so I
thought I'll try to go home. The gas tank was almost empty so
started looking for a gas station. I thought I'll never get there
since the choking returned some time after the car has wormed up (15
min. yes it is hard to find a gas station in downtown Toronto).
After filling up the car started acting as nothing ever happened.
Happy to get rid of my problem I get on the highway just to find 30
min. later that the problem is comming back. This time slowly. It
would choke only if half to full throttle was applied.
As I got closer to home it got worse and worse.
Here is some usefull info.
I did full tune-up 10000km ago. The fuel pump relay was replaced then
also since it failed from unknown reason. The new one seames to run
a little worm. The fuel pump makes the usual bzzzz.
I don't have any of the test equipment like fuel pressure gauge or
such so I can't perform any of the tests that Bentley specifies.
If anyone has been where no man whants to bee (my problem) please
respond since I need the car tomorrow to go to school. For now I'll
be in the garage scratching my head. I don't even know if it's
electric or fuel. Please help!
Thanks!
