Oils - Cheap & Nasty

Hi all,

Inside this Synthetic vs Mineral Oil debate there seems to be an
assumption by some people that all oils are currently at least up to
scratch. No so.

Recently in Australia a range of oils has been marketed as AusOil I
believe. This stuff has been proven to be utter rubbish. In one case a
gearbox reconditioer who used the oil had to rebuild 25 gearboxes free
of charge after using the above oil. 

So please don't assume cause it's got a standards number on the side
and oil written on the front that it's actually going to work.

Obviously it's best to stick with those manufacturers with a (good)
reputation and are here for the long run.
