Warning lights

Hi all,

Picked up the '82 ur-Quattro last night. I'm in love.. (oh yeh you too
dear....)

Anyway, driving it back from the Gold Coast I found that the alternator
warning light and the brake failure light glow very dimly with the
headlights on. When I use the indicators these two warning lights flash a
little brighter in alternate periods to the indicators?

I drove into work this morning and there are no problems so I'm guessing
it's only when the headlights are on....   any suggestions??
