When I first bought my Audi, I asked the same question. I had used Bosch
Platinums in previous (non-Audi) cars, and loved them. Naturally, I wanted
to treat my new (used) car.

I was told that it needed the triple-electrode plugs specifically made for
this car. Without them, the car just wouldn't run right.

Well, I did as I was told, and have never had a problem. Bosch and NGK both
make the triple-electrode plugs. I prefer the Bosch; silly me.... I like
German parts in a German car.....

I don't know if your model requires the triple-electrode, but I figured that
I'd shed some light.....

BTW, the dealer wanted $11.00 per plug; needless to say, I went the
Mail-order route and paid $5.60 per plug!!

Good luck.
