Hi Andrew,

If your driver side power window switch "freaks out" 
(window rolls down but not up), it is most possibly burnt 
out. You simply need to replace it (fairly easy operation). 
I started moving switches around (from the back doors) to 
the front driver side control panel, but since Audi is not 
using a relay but straight wiring to the motors (and hence 
higher amperage), the switches burn out. The ones I just 
bought a few weeks ago looks though somewhat different from 
what used to be in the car. Hope they will last longer. 
Paid around $30 USD for per switch.
